ELECTRICAL/FIRMWARE ENGINEER

Seeking a talented and motivated Electrical/Firmware Engineer to join our team. The candidate should thrive on solving challenging technical problems under pressure to meet tight deadlines. In this role, you’ll work directly with the team members including software and hardware engineers. This is a unique opportunity to join an early stage startup and have a direct impact on the course of RightHand Robotics!

At RHR, you will:

• Architect the electrical system for the control of robotic systems

• Support existing hardware by debugging non-functioning hardware to root cause

• Manage the build process including sending boards to fabrication, ordering parts and managing the assembly process

• Take circuit boards through the full design cycle from concept to verification of actual hardware

You:

• Can perform embedded systems development (These acronyms should mean something to you: I2C, ATMega, SPI, PWM, JTAG, Pi, SBC)

• Are familiar with sensor interfaces such as magnetometers, accelerometers and such

Bonus skills:

• Familiarity with camera interfaces

• Can implement motor control for a variety of motors

• Write firmware in C for hardware verification

• Write software in Python for Linux SBCs
